Unique was born in Kentucky about 2 years ago. She had a litter of 6 kittens and they all ended up in an animal shelter in Owensboro, Kentucky when the kittens were only about 2 weeks old. They were all scheduled to be euthanized the next day when Forever Friends was contacted and asked to rescue Unique and her babies. Unique was fur and bones and could barely stand up due to being malnourished after she nursed her babies. When the babies grew enough we were able to give them small kibbled food and canned food, limiting the time that Unique had to nurse them. Unique always made sure that her babies ate before she would start eating. She was such a good mom! Unique is very patient, dainty, and loving. She gets along with the other cats in her foster’s house and with the small dog. Unique has not been around any children. Like any new adult rescued animal to a new household, Unique will need normal time to adjust. Unique is showing at Pet Supplies Plus, 2789 W Market Street, Fairlawn, Ohio, off and on and sometimes will be at her Foster Home.
